Prayer Questions ( on PowerPoint):

If you are single then you can substitute any other relationship for  "husband" or "kids"!  Let the Holy Spirit direct your prayer time!

SLIDE ONE

• Thank the Lord for the family He has given you - your husband and each of your kids. 
• Ask Him to show you 5-10 amazing things about your husband that you can thank Him for
• Ask Him to show you 5 amazing things about each of your kids that you can thank Him for

SLIDE TWO

• Ask the Lord to show you an area of bitterness or resentment that you may have towards your husband
• Read: Matt. 6:14-15, Mark 11:25, Matt. 18:21-22
• Ask Jesus to help you forgive
• Ask Him to make your heart right before Jesus

SLIDE THREE

• Ask the Lord to show you what the biggest need is for your marriage.
• Are you willing to fully surrender to Him in this area?  What would that look like in your life?
• Confess any disobedience and lack of prayerfulness on your part about this need.
• If you are willing to fully submit to Him, ask Him to show you what He wants to say about this struggle. 

SLIDE FOUR

• Ask the Lord to show you how you can give your children fully over to Him and begin to train them to be independent and productive members of society
• Ask the Lord to show you 1 specific thing that you can pray for, for each of your individual children (i.e. school issues, friendships, obedience, character issues, areas of sinfulness, etc.)

SLIDE FIVE

• Ask the Lord to show you an area where you can pray for your husband (personal need, financial need, job, etc.)
• Ask Him to give you a word, thought or picture about that area
• Pray about what He showed you, commit to continue praying about it, holding it confidentially
• Ask the Lord to continue speaking to you about this area – what else does Jesus want to say to you about this?
